MarFlex has been awarded contracts to supply deepwell pumping systems on 3+2 tankers at PJSC Kherson Shipyard, Ukraine

The design of the ship, RST27, is developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (Odessa). The tankers are built for SVL group of companies, Malta

 

The tanker is designed for mixed (river-sea) carriage of bulk crude oil and petroleum products, including benzene, without limitation as for flash point, ensuring transportation of cargo maintaining temperature 60°Ń. It is provided to transport two grades of cargo simultaneously.

The ship’s overall length is 140,85m, beam – 16,86m, depth – 6m. Deadweight in the river with draft 3,6m is 5378t, with draft 4,2m deadweight in the sea water is 6980t. It is a steel single-deck ship with two full-revolving steering columns. The ship meets the requirements of all International Conventions and Environmental Safety. There are six cargo tanks and two aft-located slop tanks, double bottom and double sides. Engine room and accommodation superstructure located aft.

 

Cargo tanks capacity (98%): 7828m3

Slop tanks capacity (98%): 280m3

Ballast tanks capacity: 4650m3

Capacity of cargo pumps: 6 x 200m3/hr.

 

In 2011 alone MarFlex has been awarded 38 contracts for the supply of the MarFlex electric driven deepwell pumping system on board RST design Tankers for the Russian market.
